Not-So-Halloweenie Things to Do in Louisville for October 2011

October always brings its fair share of things to do in Louisville, but most of them involve haunted houses, pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating, or anything involving Halloween. This post is not about those events. If you're sick of orange and black, then check out these events guaranteed not to frighten you out of your senses.

Watching acrobats is always fun - but this company has been doing this for over 60 years! This is their first ever tour of America, so don't miss it!  The show runs for approximately 90 minutes. For more information call 502-562-0152.

 Waterfront Heritage Walks with Historian Rick Bell

Explore the history of Louisville's riverfront and the development of the Waterfront Park. The tour will begin at the Belle of Louisville and end at the Lincoln Memorial, and lasts approximately 90 minutes. This fun event will be held in the Seelbach Hotel’s historical Rathskellar, reminiscent of a German Hofbrauhaus. The Beer Store will bring some very special beer selections to the table, and sommelier Julie DeFriend will be using her wine pairing savvy as well.
