Benefit for Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Ovarian cancer accounts for approximately 3% of cancers in women. A woman's lifetime risk of developing invasive ovarian cancer is 1 in 71. A woman's lifetime risk of dying from invasive ovarian cancer is 1 in 95. (http://www.ovarianawarenessofky.org/OvarianStatistics.pdf)

The Irish Rover Too, 117 East Main Street in LaGrange, KY (Oldham County), will be hosting the 4th Annual Blue Hydrangea Progressive Tea Party this coming Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 1:00-5:00 pm (check-in is at 12:30). This event will help raise awareness for ovarian cancer as well as support the resource center Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky (O.A.K.), which will get 100% of the proceeds.

There will be shopping, entertainment, door prizes, and delicious teas and snacks. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Call Linda Goins 502-269-0126 or
